Census

All the figures are now in for the 2010 census. Gwen has done all the hard work and collated the information, and I am very pleased to tell you that the overall numbers from last year have gone up.

Media Workshop

The county media team are running a Media workshop in Oxted on 8th May. If anyone is interested in attending please speak to myself or your GSL, who should have all the details.

Indoor Climbing

St George's Day Appeal

Anthony and his wife, Laura, are both from Caterham. They both went to local schools and Anthony was a Scout with the 5th Caterham Group.

We recently held the selection day for two Scouts/Explorers to attend the Jamboree in 2011.

Valley Explorers

We have a new unit recently started at 3rd Caterham’s HQ on Friday nights. Good luck to the young people and the leaders and let’s hope it goes from strength to strength.

News

As we start a new Scouting year it is good to report that our newest Scout Group, the 8th Caterham, is going great guns and is doing very well.

District Camp 2010

Although we aren’t having a district camp this year, we are about to start preparations for a district camp next year 2010. We would really like to see some new blood on the committee.

New Scout Group

Numbers in Caterham Scouting are still growing and recently I was asked by the Village in Caterham on the Hill if there was any chance of starting up a new scout group in that location.
