Caterham District Scouts

If you haven’t let me or Gwen know the date of your Group’s AGM, can you please let us know as soon as possible, in order that we can ensure that we have presence from the District.

Caterham Scouts were very pleased to be involved with the fantastic Caterham Festival last year, and we are pleased to be able to support them again this year.

WOW! Wonderful weather and a great turn out of volunteers.

There is a new vetting system coming into force in July 2010 and the Scout Association will be starting the new system at the same time.

Please remember it is the responsibility of the holder of a CRB disclosure to ensure that it is updated every five years, in accordance with Scouting Regulations.

One of our Beaver Scout leaders is offering a chance to earn money for your Scout Group.

An advance warning that this year’s District AGM will be held on Monday 28th June at the Brunton Centre at 8.00pm.

I have just returned from the leader’s canal weekend. This is the first time I have managed to go on one of these trips.

All the figures are now in for the 2010 census. Gwen has done all the hard work and collated the information, and I am very pleased to tell you that the overall numbers from last year have gone up.

The county media team are running a Media workshop in Oxted on 8th May. If anyone is interested in attending please speak to myself or your GSL, who should have all the details.
