On Sunday 18th October a group of Beavers and Cubs spent the afternoon at Horniman Museum in Forest Hill. On the train home we held a competition for the best write up of the afternoon and the winners accounts are published here.
I liked the dead animals, the clock, the bees, the instruments, drawing, the mice, the rats and the shop!

First we went to the music room and there was a gigantic tuba (I think!) and you put headphones on and chose an instrument and you could hear a sound.
Next we went to the Natural History Gallery and there was a booklet with questions to do, some were really hard! You had to go round to different cases and answer the questions.
Then we went to the nature base and there were harvest mice, one was sleeping in a tennis ball! There was a plastic worm. There was a badger and a fox that you could feel and some bees. I saw the queen bee.
Afterwards we went to the Aquarium and I saw jellyfish, they looked like they were glowing!
Next we went to Africa World and there were lots of TVs you could watch. They were talking about Africa.
Then we went to the shop and I bought a smelly pencil that smelt of chocolate, a wiggly caterpillar and a lollipop.
My favourite part was the nature base because there were loads of things to do.
