Beaver Colony Sleepover

On Friday 25th September, 13 Beavers arrived at the HQ for a sleepover. We started off investing two girls and two boys into our Colony. Then the Beavers played games and had fish fingers in rolls, followed by fruit and milk for supper.

The Beavers got washed and ready for bed and then we put up the tents for the night. The Beavers excitedly put their belongings in the tent they wanted to sleep in, and settled down to watch a film before going to ‘sleep’.

After quite a reasonable night’s sleep we got the Beavers up at 7.00am to have their breakfast. Then we headed off to the National Army Museum where they tried on the old style uniforms and looked at all the old uniforms and equipment on display, and the Beavers learnt about life as a soldier in years gone by.

After exhausting everything the museum had to offer we went home, where the Beavers were rewarded for their good behaviour with a gift from the museum and also the first timers received their first nights away badge.
