Caterham District Scouts

Whilst the Cubs and Scouts were ice skating, the Beavers were at Roverdene having a ‘sausage sizzle’! Here is a report from one of the Beavers.

At first we put some sticks, newspaper, branches and leaves on the fire. Then we put these special square things on that helped the fire burn longer! Then we lit the fire.
We played stuck in the mud while the fire was burning. Then we had some lunch and stroked and fed some horses. We had cups of lemonade and ate sausages which we cooked on the fire, I ate four sausages!

We played hide and seek in the woods, I got poked in my eye with a stick. Haithi got some water and put the fire out. We found some charcoal and ashes. Then we walked back to meet the Mums and Dads and all went home. I went home to Diamond Beaver’s house afterwards with Jessica and later on we met Mummy and Daddy on the train home from ice skating with the Cubs.
