District Wide Game

Hooray, at long last the weather has not become an issue for the running of the District Wide Game! The last couple of occasions the rain and the snow have caused the event to be cancelled. The place, Parsons Phytle, when, 5th February. The idea was to count the numbers of posts around the area designated for the game and while this was going on there were leaders taking pictures of the Scouts with the idea being that if they were in an odd number photo the points would be deducted and an even number, points would be added.

The number of Scouts who turned out exceeded 80, with 20+ leaders. This meant that we had 18 teams taking part. Well done to all of you for making the effort to join in the activity. As usual, after the event had completed and scores were accessed, the Scouts went into the field behind the hut and pelted each other with flour bombs. (No one was hurt whilst taking part in this event. A good time was had by all.)
The winners were a group from 1st Warlingham. My thanks must go to Martin B for organising the game.
