Caterham District Scouts

Suddenly it is April and there are only a few weeks before district camp at Frylands wood, by now I should have all final numbers for Cub scouts attending along with deposits and by mid April I should have final payments, health forms and permission slips, these can be downloaded from the info web site at www.districtcamp.moonfruit.com . If you have not yet given me your numbers please can you do so as soon as possible as with other commitments, including Scoutabout the following month, I need to complete the paperwork by the end of April. If you need paper copies of these forms please call me and I will arrange this for you.

Beaver scout day visitors have until 18th April to get their numbers in so again please try to keep to this deadline, if for any reason you need a little longer please let me know.

To all Cub scout section leaders

As I have no doubt you will have seen in the district news letter last month that we are once again running a district wide camp this year, many of you will have come along to these camps in the past and some of you may not, as always we are arranging a wide variety of activities with something for everyone.

This years camp will be for the Cub section only as scouts will be attending a county camp later in the year, Beaver scouts will have a chance to visit on the Saturday.

The camp is to be held at Frylands Wood scout campsite in Addington over the dates 16-18 May, as with previous years (excluding 2007) we will be running a camp badge design competition with prizes for the winner not least that their design will be handed out in the form of a badge to all attendees, the competition will be open to all cub scouts and beaver scouts regardless of whether they are attending camp (although we hope everyone will come of course!). Details will follow regarding this.

A letter to you giving more information and a standard letter to be handed out to your cub scouts will be included in your January distribution and are available as always on the camp info web site at www.districtcamp.moonfruit.com Login details have been provided by email.
