Making Cakes and Finding Eggs

We started this month by taking part in the Mothering Sunday Service at St Luke’s Church and by raising an amazing £40 in aid of ‘Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’ from our cake stall after the service. The following day at Beavers we learnt all about Hearing Dogs for Deaf People from Adam Wilson and his dog Baxter and presented him with our the cheque.

We had great fun at our first District ‘Scrap heap’ challenge and were very proud of our jungle and our animals. Celebrating St Patrick’s day a week early we learnt that he was not actually from Ireland and we all found out at least one interesting fact about him and Ireland. At our last meeting before the Easter break we searched for coloured sticks which were hidden within our grounds and then followed a trail of rhyming clues that led us to a stash of eggs!
