Caterham District Scouts

Preparations for District Camp are well underway and with the final deadline for Cub Scout and Scout bookings past it looks like this will be a very full and very busy camp.

This year’s Parade will again be in Scouts Own format. It is our aim to hold it in the open air on Timber Hill Recreation ground.

Anthony and his wife, Laura, are both from Caterham. They both went to local schools and Anthony was a Scout with the 5th Caterham Group.

All the figures are now in for the 2010 census. Gwen has done all the hard work and collated the information, and I am very pleased to tell you that the overall numbers from last year have gone up.

FLAG rehearsal will take place at Timber Hill Recreation Ground. Those designated with tasks 3 & 4 above, (reciting Laws) rehearsal will be at the United Reformed Church.

Don’t forget the badge design competition, the deadline is 15th February after which no entries will be accepted, if you have not entered already and need forms please let me know as soon as possibl

The closing date for booking places for the District Camp is 7th February.

Firstly, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you are all keeping to your new resolutions (I've already broken mine!).

Thank you to everyone who came along to Caterham District’s Carol Service. The Cubs, Beavers and Scouts in our Group certainly did us proud – well done to them all!
