Latest News from Caterham District Scouts

On Tuesday 30th March I had the pleasure of presenting my first ever staged swimming badge to one of my Beavers.

Following the success of the first ever Caterham Festival last year, we are repeating the event. It takes place from 29th May - 27th June, and there will be around 80 events.
An estimated 600 children wore Scout and Guide uniforms to local schools on St George’s Day.

The Scout Fellowship supported the County Night Challenge at Bentley Copse at the start of the month.
There are still spaces on the County flying dates at Redhill: 16th May, 11th July and 12th September.
On Tuesday 2nd March, the 3rd Caterham (St. John’s) Scout Troop went down to St. John the Evangelist Church, Caterham Valley.
We were taken by minibus to Hollywood Bowl in Crawley to go bowling. Bonnie and I (Louis) were on the same team as each other, with Akela, Leon, Jess and others.
Last Sunday I went go-karting with the 4th Caterham Cub Group. We walked to St John’s Primary School in Caterham after Church Parade; the event was held in their playground.
